At least 22 injured, including a pregnant woman and 4 minors, have been reported so far due to a daunting fire that broke out this morning on the sixth floor of a building located on Calle Ecuador al 1,000, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of North Quarter.
City Police sources confirmed to Infobae that the incident broke out in a building with a ground floor and 14 floors, with the fire developing in an apartment on the sixth floor.
City Firefighters personnel were protecting a major and two minors on the sixth floor balcony, while other troops were in charge of attacking the fire with two 38-millimeter lines. Also, another group of firefighters was in charge of the inspection on all floors.
A pregnant woman was rescued from the scene and transferred by SAME personnel, who arranged more than 20 ambulances to assist the injured.
A City Fire Department hydrolift was also deployed for a primary site.
So far no deaths have been reported.
