BMO reinforces its commitment to promoting soccer by entering into a multi-year partnership with LAFC

MONTREAL, LOS ANGELES and CHICAGO, Jan 19, 2023 /CNW/ – The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) and BMO today announced a naming rights partnership. On January 19, 2023, the home of LAFC will be renamed BMO Stadium. Located in the heart of Los AngelesBMO Stadium will continue to host MLS Cup champions LAFC 2022 and winner of the Supporters’ Shield trophy, Angel City Football Club (ACFC) of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), as well as many top concerts and events.

BMO will support LAFC fans and the community throughout the season as the exclusive and official bank of LAFC.

This partnership unites two organizations that share the same vision of sport, advancing good in this beautiful sport. BMO’s support will help LAFC continue to deliver a world-class experience and engage with new fans and audiences, breaking boundaries and boundaries.

The stadium was inaugurated in 2018 with the debut of LAFC. Since its inception, LAFC has won the MLS Cup and two Supporters’ Shields, and recorded the most wins, points and goals scored in MLS. LAFC has sold out all regular seasons and MLS playoffs.

BMO Stadium is also home to ACFC, who made their NWSL debut last season. ACFC led the NWSL in attendance in 2022, averaging more than 19,000 fans per game for its inaugural season. The ACFC is led by the largest female-led ownership group in professional sports.

BMO Stadium has a capacity of 22,000 fans for soccer games and was the first outdoor stadium built in Los Angeles since 1962. It has hosted major events such as the 2022 MLS All-Star Game, the 2023 MLS Cup, as well as many high-profile sold-out concerts and festivals, including The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Black Pink, Twice, Santana, Guns N’ Roses, Armin Van Buren, Soil RufusKygo, Maroon 5 and many more.
