Countdown pre-show

Michael Cole was joined by Big E and Wade Barrett outside the Rogers Arena in a chilly Vancouver, BC, for the first hour of the pre-show. They ran down the card and aired video segments, including one that looked at the history of the WarGames format. This included archive footage of Dusty Rhodes, to whom the panel paid tribute.

Jackie Redmond replaced Michael Cole in the second hour of the countdown show, joined by Peter Rosenberg. This pre-show was very heavy on throwback clips and previews, with fewer original segments or interviews than usual.

Women’s WarGames Match

After Michael Cole welcomed us to the 38th edition of Survivor Series, the WarGames rules were recounted and the cage lowered over the double rings.

First out was Bianca Belair, followed by Naomi, IYO SKY, Bayley and Rhea Ripley. Bayley headed for the ring and the rest of her team were locked in their cage.

Next out were the heels, led by WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax. She was followed by Candice LeRae, Tiffany Stratton (minus her Money in the Bank briefcase), Raquel Rodriguez and Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan.

A recap of the match can be read here, but the finale came when Rhea Ripley delivered the Riptide to Liv Morgan through a table from the ropes.

WWE United States Championship: LA Knight (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

With the cage raised, it was time for a conventional singles match. As LA Knight got the better of the early going, Cole and Graves emphasized that this was a “must-win” match for Nakamura.

Things were pretty even until Nakamura blasted Knight into the steel ring divider. This allowed him to grab the win and take the gold.

WWE Intercontinental Championship – Triple Threat: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser

As the bell rang, Ludwig Kaiser decided to leave things to Breakker and Sheamus. He was back in shortly afterward, but only to take a very fast-paced clothesline from Bron.

Kaiser then set up a chair in one of the ring corners. This wouldn’t pay off right away but Kaiser briefly got the upper hand on his competitors. He was then taken out of the match for a spell as Sheamus and Breakker fought.

The action then spilled outside the ring, with spots including both Kaiser and Breakker taking the Ten Beats of the Bodhrán over the barricade.

Kaiser was then taken out, blasted into the timekeeper’s area by Sheamus.

Things looked settled after Breakker’s spear went awry, hitting the chair in the corner. Kaiser would break up the pin and then beat Sheamus with his shillelagh.

Soon after, Breakker was able to hit the spear on Sheamus to retain. A very entertaining triple-threat match.

World Heavyweight Championship: Gunther (c) vs. Damian Priest

Gunther did a great job before the bell of selling a little lack of confidence, which the commentary team put down to his loss at Crown Jewel.

Not long into the match, though, Priest was favoring his left shoulder after a tackle. Gunther wasted no time in going after the perceived weak point. The bulk of the match after this point consisted of the Austrian attacking the weakened body part.

Priest rallied with kicks and by using his right arm but couldn’t deliver the Razor’s Edge or the South of Heaven.

Priest was booked strongly in escaping a kimura and weathering interference from Finn Balor, but he would ultimately succumb to a sleeper hold.

Men’s WarGames Match: Bloodline Civil War

With the cage lowered again for the main event, Solo Sikoa and his teammates Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Bronson Reed all emerged together. Tama Tonga headed to the ring.

The babyface team came out separately, led by Sami Zayn, who got a big home country reaction. He was followed by Jimmy Uso and then CM Punk, who pie-faced Bronson Reed.

Roman Reigns followed, and out last was Jey Uso, who came through the crowd and went to the ring to get things started with Tama.

A full recap can be read here. The finale came when Solo Sikoa became separated from the rest of his team. He took a finisher from every member of the OG Bloodline, capped off by a spear from Reigns.

After an awkward moment, CM Punk and Reigns shook hands.
