The tapes that Barbara Rey recorded while speaking with the king emeritus, Juan Carlos Iwere exposed by the star’s son, Angel Christ on Wednesday night Friday! (Telecinco).
Before listening to the content of the recordings, Bea Archidona and Santi Acosta made a list of the penalties the woman could have faced if the tapes had been made public when they were recorded.
“Under the 1995 legislation, Barbara could have faced a crime of extortion which would be punished by a sentence of 1 to 5 years in prison,” Santi explained.
On the other hand, for having recorded the king emeritus without his consent, “we would talk a crime of discovery and disclosure of secretswith a penalty of 1 to 4 years in prison and a fine of 12 to 24 months,” explained the co-presenter.
If the recordings had been used for blackmail, it could also have meant a big punishment: “They would lead to new prison sentences and fines of millions of euros“.
