The Prosecutor’s Office investigates Peter Lim, president of Valencia, for an alleged diversion of 23 million euros

The former vice president, contrary to Lim’s management and who had already filed various complaints that were filed, emphasizes that the documentation provided “would demonstrate that in the years 2022 and 2023, the company that owns the majority shareholding of Valencia CF, Meriton Holdings Ltd, invoiced the club 17,200,000 euros and 6,147,000 eurosfor services and figures that are not included in the accounts that the company presented at last year’s shareholders meeting.

“These amounts could have served for Meriton to recover in an allegedly illicit manner the loan capitalized in 2022 of 17,600,000 euros and to pay President Layhoon Chan’s salaries in Asiasince the president did not declare any income in Spain, as demonstrated by the documentation sent,” comments Zorío.

“Another surprising and suspicious fact, very suspicious, is the commercial relationship of the club with a bazaar of Chinese products in a neighborhood on the outskirts of BarcelonaSpecifically, with the company CHZ Europe Trade SL, and the HI HA DE TOT bazaar, which last year moved 2,975,000 euros in commercial exchanges with Valencia CF. “Peter Lim and Lay Hoon must explain what type of services Valencia CF offers to a bazaar on the outskirts of Barcelona, in order to charge them close to three million euros,” adds Zorío.

For all these reasons, he demands that the City Council “immediately paralyze the processing of the new urban ‘plot’ of the Nou Mestalla and the Valencian businessmen must create a sanitary cordon for the person being investigated”, because with the data provided, Zorío insists, “The days of political and business blessings in Valencia must end now for Peter Lim and his team of executives.

“This has been a very hard job, for many years, but it finally seems to be bearing fruit. Peter Lim and his entire economic and sporting environment are being investigated by the Valencia anti-corruption prosecutor’s office,” Zorío concluded.
