Sarah Paulson Shares Opinion on Kim Kardashian’s Acting

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors

Sarah Paulson is here for Kim Kardashian‘s acting career and is voicing her support for the reality star.

Paulson, a seasoned veteran of American Horror Story, just gave Kardashian some major props for her performance in the new season of the show, Delicate.

In an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment, which was published on Thursday, October 3, Paulson, 49, expressed her belief that it’s time to recognize the SKIMS founder’s potential as an actress. “I think it is absolutely time for people to take Kim Kardashian seriously as an actress,” she stated, adding, “She was absolutely excellent in American Horror Story: Delicate.”

In Delicate, Kardashian, 43, takes on the role of Siobhan Corbyn, a publicist, alongside co-star Emma Roberts. Roberts, 33, previously shared her admiration for the Kardashians star, praising her ability to memorize her lines and deliver a strong performance. “I keep saying this, she knew every line and I just thought she was so good,” Roberts told Us Weekly earlier this year, mentioning how she loves watching her.

Following the positive reception of the latest season of AHS, director Ryan Murphy has created a new legal drama titled All’s Fair with Kardashian in mind, where Paulson is also set to appear. Paulson expressed enthusiasm for their upcoming collaboration, stating in the interview, “I think the show we’re about to do together is going to be a tremendous amount of fun and she’s going to be glorious on it. I have absolutely no doubt about that. Zero.”

In All’s Fair, Kardashian will portray a high-powered lawyer at an all-female law firm, drawing on her own aspirations in the legal field. “I will be playing a high-powered divorce attorney,” she shared during a June interview with Variety. “I will be channeling Laura Wasser, if that resonates with anybody.”

Kardashian recently made headlines for her advocacy regarding the Menendez brothers. In an essay for NBC News, she voiced her support for Erik and Lyle Menendez, who were convicted of murdering their parents in 1996. Reflecting on her own experiences at 18 — the same age Erik was at the time of the tragic events — Kardashian argued for the need to reconsider their case and the context of their actions.

In her piece, Kardashian wrote, “We are all products of our experiences. They shape who we were, who we are, and who we will be,” emphasizing how time and circumstances can fundamentally change a person. While some fans support the business mogul, others are dragging her for her support.
