The Minister of Defense, Margaret Roblesannounced the progress in the preparation of the next shipment of resources for the National Border Guard from Ukraine. It will include troop transport vehicles, high tactical mobility vehicles and ambulances.
Robles has confirmed that shipment of special vehicles and snow plows has been completed that had been requested for the winter. In addition, it has updated the status of the latest shipments of protection material, light weapons and ammunition made by Spain.
The minister has held a meeting by videoconference with the commanders of the National Border Guard of Ukraine in which he has offered a situation point on the support of the Ministry of Defense Spanish to this military body.
The head of the National Border Guard, Lieutenant General Serhii Deineko, and his deputy, General Andriy Kucherenko, have informed the head of Defense about the most urgent military and humanitarian needs and have reported the status of the battlefield. General Deineko thanked the Ministry for its support for the recent transportation and delivery of the new hospital campaign manufactured in the Arpa company.
In turn, the general has expressed his gratitude for “the availability and personal effort of the minister and her team” to provide continued support to the National Border Guard. For his part, Robles has shown his support for the work carried out and wanted reaffirm the commitment of the Ministry of Defense to continue supporting the defense of Ukraine in the face of “the unjustified and illegal Russian aggression.”
